Vintage Power Machines Threshing Festival July 18 - 19, 2015
The 35th Annual Threshing Festival was a family-friendly event intended for those wishing to take a step into the past. The Vintage Power Machine Club is located 11 km south west of Prince Albert off of Highway 11. The club has a one-room school called Donnybrook School, a church, and vintage shop and a gift shop on-site. The activities during the festival included horse drawn carriage rides, a farm animal display of ponies and horses and chainsaw carving and threshing demonstrations. Overall, the festival was a fun filled and educational event that showcased agriculture, the root of Saskatchewan’s economy.
Throughout the summer, while the Vintage Power Machines Museum does not have regular hours of operation, visitors are welcome to stop by and wander the grounds. Should a volunteer be on-site, they may let you have a look in one of the heritage buildings!
