Are you in the mood to brood....

On Wednesday, September 20, the J.M. Cuelenaere Public Library presents, The Shack (132 min., PG13) at 6:30 p.m. A grieving man receives a mysterious, personal invitation to meet with God at a place called "The Shack", starring Sam Worthington, Octavia Spencer and Tim McGraw .

On Thursday, September 21, Elliott Brood, the Juno award winning folk-rock band from Hamilton, Ontario, will be playing at the E.A. Rawlinson Centre at 7:30 p.m., $25.

On Friday, September 22, as part of their Explore Lifelong Learning for Seniors series, the J.M. Cuelenaere Public Library will be holding a Laptop Lab for Beginners at 9:30 a.m. Please call 763-8496 to register for the workshop.

On Saturday, September 23, be sure to head downtown to the Farmers' Market in the City Hall parking lot. The market runs from 8:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.

On Saturday, you may also want to drop into the Historical Museum to meet Melanie Fishbane, the author of Maud, an historical fiction novel about Lucy Maud Montgomery who lived in Prince Albert in 1891.
